boysugar : A QUEER FAIRY TALE

This was more than my thesis film— I crafted a world, an original soundtrack, and a community from a fleeting idea that came to me in an LGBT history class.

I reflected on the ideas of belonging related to queerness and talked with others about their experiences in an attempt to craft this project authentically.

I wanted to show a side of the LGBT community that is uglier and still pervasive and contrast that with the vibrant visuals and decadence of drag.
